Let sleeping dogs lie
And tip-toe around so that all you can see
Is Picture Perfect Me
'Cos wearing this face
I transcend time and space
Picture-perfectly
But pieces of the past still press into the present
Long forgotten, still unpleasant
They hunger and they hold
Stinging stinging cold
Memories untold
And it's dark as dark as dark
Alone here in my park
Although the playground's there
Trees are all bare
An ill-wind whips through my hair
So long forgotten old despair
But you were my rescue
Oh you saved me from myself
Put me on the shelf
And watched me transform
Into this image I have created
Portrait I have painted
Picture Perfect Me
